Our commitment
ErythrosLight, LLC uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as the engineering target for erythroslight.com. We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a finished state: we test as we build, fix what we find, and keep this page current with what we have and have not checked.
Checkout takes place on store.erythroslight.com, which is operated on Shopify. Shopify is responsible for the accessibility of its hosted checkout; we review the steps we control and pass on any problem reported to us.
What we checked
In September 2026 we reviewed the main pages of the site (home, product pages, science, FAQ, contact, account sign-in, returns, warranty, terms and privacy) at phone and desktop widths. The review covered:
- Automated testing with axe-core against the WCAG 2.2 AA rule set, on each page and with the cart drawer and FAQ drawer open.
- Keyboard operation of menus, drawers, dialogs, accordions, forms and the purchase path, including a visible focus indicator and a skip link to the main content.
- Names and labels for controls, images and form fields; heading structure and landmarks.
- Colour contrast of text, and text scaling and reflow down to a 320 pixel wide viewport.
- Captions for the customer video clips that contain speech.
We did not test with a screen reader on iPhone (VoiceOver), Android (TalkBack) or Windows (NVDA or JAWS) during this review, and we did not test the third-party checkout, payment wallets, chat widget or review widgets. Those checks are listed as outstanding below.
Known limitations
- Captions for customer videos were produced with automatic speech recognition and are being reviewed for accuracy. Clips that contain only music are marked as such.
- Some background videos play automatically without sound. They stop when your device asks for reduced motion, but they do not yet have an on-screen pause control.
- Third-party components we embed (Shopify checkout, Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons, the Gorgias chat widget, the Okendo and Trustpilot review widgets, the FrontrowMD clinician widget and the cookie consent banner) are maintained by their providers, and we have not independently tested them.
- Screen reader testing on mobile devices has not been completed.
- Older articles and landing pages may contain images with generic alternative text or heading levels that skip.
